I am having a problem when downloading large files. Whenever I try to download a file over 2-3 MG I get a "PPoE disconnect" after about 2 MG.
I am using a Powerbook G4 connected to the internet via an Airport Extreme and a Paradyne DSL modem. I have had this setup about a year and didn't have a problem until about a month ago. The ISP I was using severed their DSL relationship with our local phone company and I had to switch the service directly to the phone company. Actually I thought this was a random occurrence (I don't download that many large files) until I tried running a speed test and realized that this occurs consistently. The test will run through the first 2-3 MG and then the connection drops. I spoken with the phone company and they have reviewed my setup but haven't identified the problem. I have a hunch this happening on their end because I've had the experience of the disconnect while my wife was also on the phone - the phone also disconnected. Can anyone suggest the steps I might go through to identify where the problem is? I know OS 10 maintains logs but I haven't found a log for the wireless setup.
