How are you trying to add them to Itunes? Use the add to library command under the file menu. Then go to the CD and select the ones you want to add.

I just updated to whatever the iTunes upgrade was and I am not happy with it. I can no longer play CDs of MP3s that I've burned. It wont allow me to bring them into itunes. maybe I am just being stupid but it works with store bought CDs. Are they trying to discourage people from putting several hours of mp3s onto a cd and using a mp3 compatible dicsman instead of an ipod. Perhaps I should just get with it and live on pbjs for a month and buy an ipod like any right thinking person.
I still maintain was happier with os 9 and winamp.
