Dear Kathleen:

I did this about 8 months ago on my wife's 400 Mhz DV SE iMac. Very
straightforward install of a 60 Gb Ultra ATA/133. It¹s a 7200 RPM drive and
I¹ve had no overheating issues as of yet and it runs even quieter than
before. The computer is on every day at least 12 hours a day.

FYI, I just purchased a 100Gb for my 233Mhz Bondi iMac drive from Office
Depot for $100 with 2 $40 rebates for a net cost of $20. The Bondi is now
running both OS 9.2.1 and Tiger! Check Dealmac.com for other deals. As far
as I know, the iMac won¹t recognize more than 137Gb of an internal drive
without a separate PCI card.

Good luck!
-Michael
