Luck was not on my side. Seems as though I didn't sign up quickly
enough and the cost of the repair was going to be almost as much as
the computer was worth. So, I chose to get a dual 2 gig G5 with a 20
inch cinema display. I pulled the SATA hd from the iMac, the Airport
and the RAM....guess i might up it up on the swap list for whoever
wants it for parts. In all the time I've been using Macs, this is
the first bad experience that I've ever had. Guess it is my fault
though, I jumped into buying the iMac G5 just as soon as it came
out....before they had a chance to work the bugs out.
Anyway, I'm happy with the G5, I've upped the RAM to 1.5 gig. I have
a 160 and a 250 HD in it, Airport and it looks cool. It even seems
to be quieter than the iMac was.

just going get the 2 gig 20 inch iMac (the problem has been fixed
with them...) and switch out the hard drive and RAM.
