We have this problem at work. We have an OS9 Appleshare server and if
we try to run OS x on any of the client machines, we lose connections,
but worse, sometimes we can't boot our computers unless we pull our
ethernet cable and re-insert it after boot-up. Also, after a while,
the desktop may load but if you try to open a hard drive (or other
icon) you get a blank dialogue box and a frozen screen.
I would love to solve this problem because I'd love to use X at work.
