I've got an indigo 400Mhz slot loading imac. The problem is that
if I
unplug the power cable the date is never right when I switch it
back on.
I've replaced the battery and zapped the pram but it still isn't
right.
While replacing the battery I did notice there was no plastic
'clip'
like in my older macs. I don't suppose that means anything but you
never
know.
Actually, it means everything. Without that plastic clip, there's
nothing holding the battery up against the contact, meaning no power
is flowing. You'll need to find another way (tape?) to force the
battery to stay in contact.

Claiming that the Macintosh is inferior to Windows because most
people use Windows is like saying that all other restaurants are
inferior to McDonald's.
