I use a MS optical track ball gaming mouse with oodles
of buttons +scroll. MicroS**t makes a Mac version of
their mouseware that I use. I switch between os x apps
and os 9(clasic) enabled apps without having to
reconfigure my mouse because I can preprogram the
mouse to each specific app ahead of times to match the
most common way I use each one. It is like prebinding
if you are a gamer.
