Did that, nothing was required.
Oh and used Disk Warrior version 3.0.3 and it found nothing amiss either!

Hard Drive is a Toshiba MK3021GAS,
capacity is 27.95 GB,
Available 25.06 GB

Should've added...am on my third CD drive as well.
As noted perhaps elsewhere this has not been a happy machine.
The drive is the basic drive, CD only record and playback
& DVD playback (the latter which it won't do BTW)
Drive is a Sony CD-RW CRX 820E

The other dealers in the area are much much worse.
This is Canada and things are somewhat different than perhaps
the uSA. There are not a plethora of Mac dealers.

And the general impression from me and one or two others is
all they care about is how much money you're planning on spending.

Oh and those one or two others, I tried the program with their G4 iMac,
loaded just fine,
the other has two Macs, a G5 with that enormous display panel and a 12"
G3 ibook
The G5 was fine, the G3 iBook complained bitterly but after three or four
tries did accept the
program. Mind the hard drive was four gig short of being full..

The chap with the G5 suggested since Apple Canada won't help that I flog the
beast to the highest bidder and maybe go look for a used G4 Powerbook,
and just bite
my tongue on the cost. He uses the same dealer as I do and over the
years has never
found a problem, except with his G3 iBook now for him out of warranty.
He commented "well they are a cheap laptop
in the Mac world..."

Wet RAM???

This is Canada, and Apple Canada is aware of the problem; however they
declined
twice now to replace the computer.

Maybe I should return after this many years to say a Toshiba prehistoric
computer laptop?
