>I'm nearing a final decision on whether to upgrade my iMac G4 >(800mhz) with the airport 802.11b card or just going with a wireless- >g ethernet bridge. Has anyone done either?
I think you need to look at a few things to make your decision. 1. do you need Appletalk support over the wireless? If so, you probably need to go with the airport card. Keep in mind, you will also need to be running an access point that supports Appletalk as well (airport base station, or there are a few others out there, but not many). 2. What is your budget, the airport card will likely cost you more than the ethernet bridge. 3. Do you want a nice neat contained solution? If so, go Airport. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
