I just got my first iPod (60 gig, 4th gen, colour photo). Are there
any
scripts or keystrokes to help me with the following please.....?
1) If I import a custom-made compilation CDR into iTunes (v6.0.1)
of, say,
25 songs, is there a quick way to name all the songs with the same
artist
and album name instead of copying/pasting each one?
Yes. Select all the needed tracks and press cmd-I. It will ask you if
you really mean to change the info for multiple tracks (you can turn
this off). Now enter the info and it will go into each track by
itself. Very handy.
2) If I import artwork for a CD, does it get imported once-only to
the CD's
title, or is artwork imported to each individual songfile contained
on the
album? (and therefore increasing the overall size of each songfile).
The latter, but unless the artwork you're importing is huge, this
shouldn't make a really noticeable different. Web images of album
covers generallly add about 12-25K to a 4MB MP3/AAC file.
3) When a track segues into another, with all songs having a 0:00
start time
in iTunes, the iPod inserts a tiny gap between each song. Is there
a fix for
this?
iTunes has a command called "join selected tracks" which appears to
solve this problem.
4) Can anyone recommend any better-sounding headphones than the
supplied
Apple ones? I like lots of low bass and high treble :-)
Rather than different headphones, try adjusting the equaliser. I too
like low lows and high highs, so I have my EQ set in a kind of "V"
pattern. Apple EQ settings to all (appropriate) songs. :)
