Chas, I appreciate that you are trying to be helpful, but the difficulty
I have with many of your posts is that your idea of what is "well beyond
the machine's capabilities" is very quickly reached, and often includes
configurations that are perfectly functional for the average user.
There are people who would not be caught dead driving to the corner
store in anything less than a Ferrari. This does not mean that everyone
needs a Ferrari to get to the corner store.
If you prefer your Ferrari, fine. But I have a problem with your
frequent assertions that some hardware or other will be "too slow" or
"not worth running" or whatever. Perhaps you could qualify your
statements: you could say something is "too slow to make *me* happy" or
"not worth running *in my opinion*, YMMV."
Or perhaps you could start your own site: "High End Mac."
