Other than the power supply and the PRAM battery, I can't think of
anything that would need replacing. The DVD, USB, LCD, CPU, RAM,
fan, and HD all work - what else is there? - and all Apple Hardware
Test tests pass. The only other things I can think of are the PRAM
battery & power supply... anything else?

They are not that frightening just take your time dont force
anything I managed without instructions and without paste 2 years ago
and its still going strong today. It sounds as if you have something
in there not seated properly so anything that plugs in un plug and re-
seat maybe since you are going inside you could fit a bigger ram
stick inside the case.
