I would recommend resetting PRAM. This probably wouldn't affect it,
but it's worth a try. To do that, press Apple + Option + P + R at boot
up after the chime. Hold it until you hear 4 chimes go by. The way
that would probably fix it would be an archive and install. But since
I don't know the size of the iMac HD, then I don't know whether to
recommend it then. I know a full reinstall would most likely fix it
completely. I had many problems with my Intel aluminum iMac, and an
archive and install just wasted my time and didn't fix it. So a format
and install fixed it. Just be certain you have your data backed up
that you wish to keep! I cannot stress this enough! No one likes
losing data. I hope this helps! Good luck :-)
