Just to clarify, I'm not talking about the notification that OS X  
gives you when you adjust the volume. I'm talking about a "bippity- 
boop-bip" sometimes followed by a whine that happens with the  
notification. I don't mind that clapping/quacking sound that OS X  
makes. It's the bipping/whining thing that's annoying, especially  
since I do a fair amount of work in FCP.
