Start up the machine, select "About This Mac" under the Apple menu, then select the "More Information" button in the window that comes up. This will open System Profiler and give you detailed information about the system hardware - processor, memory, HD, etc. You can then check that against the specs at Apple's web site to verify the model. >Is there a quick and dirt way to test the computer to make sure it is >in a good shape?
