An interesting article but my crap'o'meter pegged on the first sentence:

>"Internet security is broken, and nobody seems to know quite how to fix it."

Think about that. "Internet Security" - whatever that is, is just
fine. The PROBLEM is Windows and Flash, aka Microsloth and Adobe.

>"Despite the efforts of the computer security industry and a
>half-decade struggle by Microsoft to protect its Windows operating
>system,"

ROFL What struggle???? Microsloth and Adobe make BIG PROFIT. There
is NO *real* effort to really fix this stuff. If they did fix it,
they'd kill their gigantic investments in the umpteen BILLION dollar
anti-malware markets!

>"malicious software is spreading faster than ever."

As it should. Think about it. If it didn't, then the whole
"security industry" would collapse. That's a lot of people out of
work!

>"Computer scientists and security researchers acknowledge they
>cannot get ahead of the onslaught."

ROFLMAO.

Never heard that from ANYONE on the non-Windoze side of things. I wonder why?

>"For now, Apple's Macintosh computers are more or less exempt from

>larger target as their market share grows."

Well, duh. Mac users are able to afford the expensive machines so
they're probably better quality targets than microsloth worshippers.
At some point quality will win over quantity, wrt targeting.

So... the point of this whole article is SSDD. From our (Mac) POV,
it's SSDD-Again. And if you're worried, go throw something like
ClamXav on your Mac.
