I always try the easy cost effective things first.  Unplug every-thing
except the keyboard and mouse and see if that works.  If not pull the stick
of RAM from the second slot and turn on the computer.  If it does'nt work
then switch the Sticks of RAM and see if it works then.  If it works than
most likely the first piece of RAM is bad. If it still does'nt work than do
the same thing with the second slot.  This will tell you if one of your
sticks are bad.  If it does'nt work than start testing other things.
