Friends: I've revised the welcome message to clarify that postings from new members are moderated to keep spammers away. It's already covered in the list FAQ, but based on the number of messages submitted two or more times by new members, it's evident that some have not read the FAQ.
Here's the new paragraph: "This is a mostly unmoderated, closed list, but postings by new members are moderated to keep spammers out. Group members may also be moderated based on their behavior. List managers are volunteers, so moderated messages may not appear for a while."
