Start the iBook up with the DVD in the drive and enter Target Disk Mode (TDM) by holding down the "T" key. Connect iBook to iMac with Firewire cable. Start up iMac with the option key held down and select the DVD. I always prefer to boot the installer on the target machine. There are few features that are installed based on the booted hardware but there are some. -- Clark Martin Redwood City, CA, USA Macintosh / Internet Consulting "I'm a designated driver on the Information Super Highway" --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's iMac List, a group for those using G3, G4, G5, and Intel Core iMacs as well as Apple eMacs.
