Here are the shiny "new" pics:

Note the CPU specs in the second picture (a really unimpressive G3).
Also, it would appear that OS 9 will NOT allow you to run VM once you
hit 1 gig (see third pic). It's doubtful you'll ever need VM with 1
gig and in the classic OS, but I know some people are advocates of
using VM in OS 9 because it maps out memory a bit better.

I got the DIMMs from Omi Technologies, which you can visit at:
omnitechnologies.biz.

I specifically bought from them because they were recommended by
Ramseeker (via LEM) for my machine.

What you want is "iMac G3 SL OptiVal 512MB PC100 SDRAM". Although when
I run "DIMM First Aid" (see below), they check out as 7.5ns PC133-333
DIMMs, and give a couple of other intesting bits of info.

Unit price is $25.99. For three day shipping for two sticks, you're
looking at $56.97. I find this reasonable.

Also, it's interesting to note that my machine didn't boot up properly
the first time I put them in. It "gonged" but didn't get to the happy
face mac, it just sorta sat there. After cycling the power twice,
everything appears to work fine, and it's booted every time since
(knock on wood). For those of you having problems, I would recommend
cycling the power a couple of times to see if that does the trick.
Also, do a deep zap of the PRAM using Tech Tool (Lite works fine). It
shouldn't make any difference, but I've seen the damnest things fixed
through this method.

Also, I highly recommend everybody look at this (which might fix some
of the problems you all have been having):
