If nothing else, you can use the "save this search" feature on ebay, and enter in various words to describe what you are looking for, and in what catagories, such as HP 4400 Scanjet (look for the whole printer, and maybe the person will just sell you the software, or loan it to you for a few bucks) - or Hewlett Packard Scanjet 4400, or 4400 software, etc - I looked for a hard-to-find radio for my bro after his place burnt in the Crest California wildfire. the radio was made under 2 names, GE and RCA, so I entered GE and the model number in one search, RCA and the model # in another search, then spelled out GE and the model number in another search. etc - after a few months, ebay came up with a hit! Used to be, this would have been like looking for a needle in a haystack - not anymore!
