I used to have an old iMac DV 400 and missed OS 9 when I went to 10.x.
I would suggest staying with 9.2 unless there are specific things that
will only run on OS X. That being said, very few things run on 9
anymore, but LOTS of kids proggies, esp older ones, run like a champ
on OS 9.x It was nice to have OS 10.x, but I went back to 9 whenever I
could for the added speed and snappier response in the older machine.
