I am trying to help a friend reinstall Mac OS X The installer launches but when it gets to the point of selecting the location the 20GB hard drive is dimmed. The message says "This disk is dimmed becuase the Mac OS X CD installs different languages"
The CD's he got with the iMac are labeled Power Mac G4 - Mac OS X Install I'm assuming that these are the wrong CD's to restore the iMac - is that correct? I also tried swapping the HDD with an old windows formatted HDD that I had but now the installer doesnet even see that drive. Any guidance on how best to proceed would be appreciated.
