I pulled the battery first, so I'm sure it's the power supply, now.
Now, my next question, to the list is, how much would a new power
supply set me back?

It would probably be cheaper to replace the dead components yourself,
and in response to the other email, the slot load iMacs and the CRT
Apple Studio Displays (NOT the ADC ones) had this problem too, but
the slot loads not as much. (I have a half-dead Blueberry 12" Studio
Display, when it first starts up sometimes its all purple or
something, giving it a smack in the upper right corner makes it stop,
but the black on it isnt black, its grey.)
