Do a clean install, and at the end it asks you if you want to transfer your data and settings from another Mac or hard drive. Make sure the backup is plugged in and select it as the source.

Or you can format and partition the internal and use Disk Util to restore from the external drive for the SL part and then instal Tiger in the other part. You can run disk util from about anywhere for the restore bit...
