Hey, it worked! I managed to trade logic boards, plug in my HD and RAM, and I have a perfectly serviceable 600 Mhz G3 iMac running OS 10.4.11.
The cool part, from my perspective? My HD just booted up, so it's as if nothing changed. I, again, using an external drive of 300G, have the world's biggest iPod! :) Thanks all.
