I'm not the only one on this. I got this today from some Cube owners. John You are tenacious! There is a thread on Cubeowner about this weather applet not working for anyone, even mine. http://www.cubeowner.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14568&hl= It looks like Apple is backing away from certain iCloud/MobileMe and other Java items (not Javascript, which is different). Adobe Flash is not suppported either, in fact Adobe has just announced they are moving to HTML5 and letting Flash fade away. The entire infoworld is changing to a new system of doing things to accommodate the 'mobile' industry. Personal computers and their standard OS's are becoming dinosaurs. Upgradable Apple computers are being phased out while 'nanny state' OS's (Lion, IOS5) are being adopted. Even the new iMovie & iDVD are watered down to the point it's almost 'child proof'. No individuality allowed now. With the advent of Lion and iCloud I think Apple's intentions are to 'pull the plug' on support for all legacy computer systems, from Snow Leopard back. The old loyal customer base is no longer important, the 'mobile' crowd is where all the new money is and they are giving it their full attention. So much for being different, the new mobile information world is making them produce products/services not much different than the other monster techno companies like Google, Microsoft, etc. Apple is following the money and battling for the info market - all our pre-2010 stuff will be outmoded very soon.
