Ok, I read all of the lovely advice you all sent. I am still confused
but getting better. I want to especially thank those of you who
"dumbed it down" for me.

Now, I have come up with what I hope are intelligent questions-

First some background- I do not know how to back up my files. I have
my home set up for wifi. I have purchased an ipad 2 (I would like to
use it around my home, to free me from my desk, ever try to follow a
recipe by running back and forth from the kitchen to the computer?)
but I can't use it with os x tiger, so I must upgrade.

Question 1. How do I upgrade, without losing what music I have spent
a fortune collecting (over 2000 songs) from i-tunes? The ipad 2 will
not work with os x tiger. I also have to have a more recent copy of i-
tunes, does it come with the upgraded software?

Question 2. Would any of you be willing to come to me, or me come to
you, to do this so I don't turn my imac into the worlds most expensive
paperweight?

I understand how easy all of this might be to all of you, but after
having a brain injury, I have real problems with understanding how all
of this works. I do not know anyone else who was smart enough to buy
an imac. (stupid PC users) When I bought mine, it was with the
knowledge that they are pretty much kelly-proof!. For the record, if
you check the urban dictionary under "compudufus" you will find me.''

Thank you all again
