Well after spending 4 days and $1,100 for upgrades, exterior hard drive, Ipad, and additional USB ports, I was contacted by Apple corporation today. It seems that they record the tech support calls, and when my call from Monday evening was reviewed, they found an error in the information I was given. The real reason that the aforementioned "aussie disc" was spit out when inserted, was because I needed to upgrade to leopard first. Since I spent money based on their statements, they will be giving me leopard for free, and refunding the money I spent on the extra snow leopard software! They are even going to do all the work for me, to apologize. What a company! Thank you all for all of your assistance. You are all very special people. (You were smart enough to buy a mac!) Thank you so much. -Kelly
BTW- You were all right, Aussie discs do work in America!
