My recommendation. Would be to first boot into "Safe Mode" which will load only 
the OS and ?Apple" applications.
After booting, startSafari and see if you can log into ShutterFly!
If the login works, then you have a 3rd party app. That is causing the problem.
To boot into Safe Mode hold dowd the "Shift Key" during the boot process.
