Yes, just as if you had a PC. 

The only way around that requirement is to use Crossover Mac 
<http://www.codeweavers.com/products/> which runs Windows programs, not 
Windows; this product is another option to a VM-based solution like 
Fusion/Parallels/VirtualBox or Boot Camp.
