For the first time, I experienced the following serious problem:
The menu bar on my M1 Macbook stayed completely empty.
It didn't help to activate the ImageJ main window or current image window - so
I had to quit ImageJ!
- I later discovered that I could have solved the problem by clicking the
yellow "Minimize" button in window's title bar - (sending it as icon to the
dock), and then re-awakening it from the dock. But users won't be aware of this
trick.
I used ImageJ 1.54k, Java 13.0.6, and didn't update yet (perhaps I can find a
way to reproduce this?)
Here are my questions:
- has anyone experienced an empty menu bar on the Mac?
- Are there changes in the newest version that address the problem?
- I discovered in Help>Release Notes 5-dec-2024:
> Thanks to 'Jerry1144', added the setOption("SetIJMenuBar",boolean) macro
> function.
- Is there any explanation how to use this new macro command?
