Some of my customers have two DNS servers that the run for inside and outside the organization. It takes an extra bit of management, but it is easier than working with HOST files. The only tricky part (and you have to play with this one) is when you set up a VPN connection. You have watch for overlaps that are not reachable.

Would that entry redirect them to > the internal ip that had the images? I would strongly recommend setting up an internal DNS server rather than using and managing HOSTS files. Using internal DNS also makes it much easier to set up roaming users, whose IP may change from internal to external--their mail server settings will go with them as appropriate for dial-up access, which would not be the case with HOSTS. -Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------ ___________________________________________________________________ ___ The HKSI-IMail Admin List is hosted by........
