Well, if the new messages coming in go to the new main.mbx
then you will know there is a problem in the old main.mbx.
I know it sounds like a pain but here is how I have had to do
something similar before.

Rename main.mbx to main.old
Send a message to the box. New main.mbx is created.
Open main.old in notepad and have a look. If all seems okay
copy all and then paste it into main.mbx. If a message looks
like it may be a problem, (character blocks, etc.) remove it.
Open Imail Admin and refresh the Directory tab.
Of course do all this when no one is attempting to access the
box via POP3 or Webmsg.

This is not an official answer, just what I have had to do here to
make things work before.

Are you sure that her mailbox limit has not been reached?

Will that preserve the messages in there now? (I'm trying to prevent a
problem--she doesn't know it's happening. I caught the problem because she's
got a TON of incoming messages clogging the queue.
