Hi,
The main reason not to do this is that IMail could change it's API/Behavior
without notice.
In other words you might invest 2 or 4 weeks ( or month ?) of work and when
IMail6.0 or even 5.1 is released you might have to redo it all again.
Also IMail has access to marketing data that makes it easier for then to
make the right software design decisions ( certain features, multi-languages
....etc..).
This would be a risky business with out a close partnership with IPswitch .
In a nutshell, here is how I see this issue, we buy IMail to make money. So
the better IMail, the more money we make (i.e. happy and repeat customers )
the more we are ready to pay for IMail. It's a clear win-win...
Last , I wanted to add that this issue is not that IMail is a good or bad
product. Most of the members of this list purchased IMail after carefully
evaluating most Mail servers on the market...
The issue is to try to suggest to IPswitch features it's customers would
want to see in the product and potentially even pay a high price for them.
