I'm having a run-in with my outgoing mail as described in an earlier message
I sent to the list. So far I haven't solved it. It is driving me nuts trying
to figure out why my iMail 5.0 server - after 5 months running without any
problems - is now unable to send outgoing mail.
Every outgoing mail delivery is now resulting in errors, for example:
07:22 23:51 SMTP-(000001CE) Trying erols.com (0)
07:22 23:52 SMTP-(000001CE) MX connect fail "207.172.3.245"
07:22 23:53 SMTP-(000001CE) MX connect fail "207.172.3.248"
07:22 23:53 SMTP-(000001CE) MX connect fail "207.172.3.241"
07:22 23:54 SMTP-(000001CE) MX connect fail "207.172.3.242"
07:22 23:55 SMTP-(000001CE) MX connect fail "207.172.3.243"
07:22 23:56 SMTP-(000001CE) MX connect fail "207.172.3.244"
07:22 23:56 SMTP-(000001CE) Stack connect fail "216.164.100.159"
07:22 23:56 SMTP-(000001CE) Trying mediaone.net (0)
07:22 23:57 SMTP-(000001CE) MX connect fail "24.128.1.118"
07:22 23:58 SMTP-(000001CE) MX connect fail "24.128.1.114"
The server was delivering fine up until roughly 9:30 Thursday morning. At
that
time I did a stop/restart of the system after trying to set up a virtual
host based on an external user database. I was having some trouble getting
the external database host set up and thought I needed to stop/restart.
Other than this external database host I was trying to configure I don't
recall making any changes in my system that would cause these "MX Connect
Fail" errors.
Thanks for any ideas on what to look at to solve this problem.
