Bob,
What he means is to set smtp in Outlook to the mindspring server. I used
to work tech support for them sometime ago but I do not remember the server
name at this moment. It also depends if you are an original Mindspring
customer or you were brought on as an acquisition. When I left they had
300,000 users, (2 years ago) and we had to use 3 different servers
depending. The paperwork they sent you should have that info. Also in some
area's they require the return email address be one of theirs or you cannot
send.
The other thing is maybe your company server has locked down smtp ( you
mentioned it was a new setup for your company, so maybe someone is trying
things) to allow only their IP address's. Try setting smtp authentication in
OE5 using your Imail username and password and see what happens BEFORE you
make any other changes or call Mindspring
