I have recently found an alternative, cheap solution (about $160) to set up
an address book . It is installed as a service into Outlook/Windows
Messaging client and will be displayed when the user presses the TO button
in their email.

Right now the only downside I see to it is having to maintain it. The
administration side of it is in Access, then you export to a text file on
your file server, and in the properties of the service in Outlook you point
it to the text file.
But, I think once you have it set up, you should be able to export your
users from Imail, and then massage the Imail export file to meet the specs
for the address book text file. I've talked this over with my VB/Access
programmer and he also thinks this should work. This would cut out having
to maintain the address book user database.
