Sorry... I was under the impression that the confirmation thing was
something custom added later, but was based on this other script.

This is not 100% true.. It is available but isn't the current one we use.
The newer one sends a confirmation email for the action requested to the
address the requestor entered. This needs to be replied to in order for the
action to take place. We will be making this available soon (once we have it
cleaned up a bit and documented)
