A big thank you to Gary.  2919 fixed my problems as well.

Anybody know if it's possible to save the 18MB file to disk &/or order a CDROM with the 2919 update?

Subject: [IMail Forum] IMAP & UID Problems ...

My server is running I-Mail V5.08.   I use web messaging at work and Outlook Express (5.00.2314.1300) at home to access my mail via the IMAP protocol.    I have endured synchronization problems with my six Outlook folders for quite some time.    The UID Fetch problems begin to appear when one deletes all messages from one or more folders ... and/or other conditions which simply are too varied to bother trying to elaborate ... everything seems to be involved in critical client/server timning (synchronization, again).

Anyway, there may be light at the end of the tunnel, folks.    This evening I ran Windows Update and there was an Internet Explorer 5.01 update available.    Well, not to feel left out in the coffee-room discussions tomorrow morning, I bit the bullet and went for the 5.01 update.     When performing this update I selected the full update option so I could review exactly what would be updated and there was an option to update OUTLOOK EXPRESS!      Needless to say, I DID select that option.

One hour and forty-five minutes later, after my system finally finished updating itself, I was able to execute Outlook Express and the version number is now 5.00.2919.6600 ...  Hey, Microsoft!!!, what did you fix???    Anyway, three of my folders had UID Fetch errors left over from operations with the previous version of Outlook Express  -----   guess what ---- the new Outlook Express corrected my UID Fetch problems.

After my Outlook Express upgrade I sent several test messages to myself and moved them around in my IMAP folders and viola ....... my UID problems went away!    Apparently Microsoft has been working on IMAP sychronization problems :-)     It's probably too soon to get out the chips and dip and start a party but I'm having a real good time here.

1.    I hope this version of Outlook Express really fixes the UID problem
2.    I hope your experiences are the same
