Terry, I think what Eric was pointing out is that
if the host has an IP
then there is no need in specifying the domain in
the login id.
If the host is domain.com and the alias is
domain.org then joe simply
points his POP client to domain.com and use 'joe'
for the login. Since
mail addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] will be sent
to the same box anyway and logging in like this
will retrieve all the
messages.
I think what you might be confusing is the login id
which is used.
