Hi,

some people on the list seem to think I should apologize and "cut the crap"
and keep things technical on this list.

I promise this is the last "non-technical" posting I will send regarding
this subject (programmers... :-):

A final try for a comparison:

-I bring my car to the garage for a complete engine tune-up. They
advertised with it and I believed this was a good thing.

-After a day or two I go and get my car. "Really an airplane now" says the
guy who did the tune-up.

-I drive out of his garage and notice the brakes don't work anymore.

-I tell te guy who worked on it what happened. He says "sorry, this tuning
up is a totally new thing. Perhaps in the first try something goes wrong."

-I tell him I'm "not pleased" with this.

-He tells me "Sir, you have no idea how much work and time I spend on
tuning your car, and it realy flies now. You always want more..."

-I say: "I just want the brakes to work too.... And I expected YOU teste
those when working on a car."

-The technician then says "sorry Sir, I don't like your tone of voice. If
you don't apologize and be nice and friendly I will not fix your brakes.
I'm overstressed learning all this mew stuff about tune-ups..."

---------------------------------

To be complete:

-I LIKE Imail. It IS a good product. I Admint there is no other product in
this price-range that will do the same and is as easy to use.

-But I think there are some "little annoyances" in 6.0x that should NOT
have been there. And COULD not have been there if someone in developement
took the time (30 minutes would do :-) to have a quick look at i.e. the
user-interface.

-I don't hate programmers.

-I hate the fact it's becoming "common logic" never to install a .0
release. This should NOT be an excuse for half-finished products being
released.

-I don't agree with those who tell me "to talk to programmers in a friendly
way, otherwise why should they listen to you and fix the things you mention?"
IMHO it's their job to make things right. Not only when "someone asks
politely".

-I apologize to those on the list who are not interested in my struggle to
make Imail an even better product by reproting the little annoyances (and
the big bug (?) in pop3)...

And to close up, now for something completely technical:

How about the report I gave on the possibility to access the same mailbox
twice the same time? Is this "wrong" ? Should this be fixed ?

OK, that's it. Now I will wait (hopefully not to long) and see if anything
happens in the "we listen to our customers and try to fix things asap if
needed" - department.

Sorry if "my tone of voice" isn't always friendly. But sometimes to only
way to "get things moving" is a little shouting. I agree, this should not
have to happen.

A nice happy bug-less new-year to all. The programmers included :-)
