I'm confused.  You must have local access to the machine if you plan on
accessing the registry.  You should then, as we do, be able to access the
iMail server through it's local IP address (usually 192.168.x.x) and not
need to access the Internet at all.  Instead of using the DNS name for the
system (mail.whatever.com) try using the machine's local IP address - you
will not need to dial out for this.  Should offer you the best option.
