I'd also try telnet servername 587. Make sure it's IMail or Outlook so you
know whom to call.

Is there a firewall that needs to be reconfigured?

Try reinstalling the Outlook account as well. Sometimes there are issues
there.

If you have:

1. Added the proper registry key in Imail and set the value to 587 and
restarted the SMTP service;
2.  Added any firewall rules (if necessary) to allow traffic on that port;
3. Reconfigured your Outlook to use port 587 and it MUST use SMTP
Authentication....

Then you have done what is necessary and need to contact support.

Later,

Travis
