...and, if you applied the SP4 Security Rollup patch, be advised many many people are having trouble with their servers as a result, especially if it was done from Windows Update.
MS is going to re-release the rollup in the next few weeks. We have *not* installed the rollup on our servers, and will not do so until it looks safe. Many people have uninstalled the rollup and things are working fine. Some have uninstalled it and still not working so fine and have had to rebuilt their servers. Wonder of wonders it worked... but | I wouldn't recommend it. <grin> | | Darin. | | | ----- Original Message ----- | From: "Internet Relations" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | To: <[email protected]> | Sent: Tuesday, August 09, 2005 8:19 PM | Subject: [IMail Forum] Windows 2k sp4 - OT | | | Just an FYI. We installed SP4 on a win2k box the other night. It | absolutely screwed the O/S up. We can not get into anything with explorer. | Its basically trashes. I know of 2 other boxes in an even worse state after | a couple of the SP4 hotfixes were applied. | | Bryan | | | To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html | List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ | Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ | | | To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html | List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ | Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ | To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
