This is a good concept except I would use the "copy" function of the rule instead of the "forward" as the forward would not leave a copy in the mailbox of the intended recipient for them to read and just sending the message to the alias would lose it.

Yes;  use  a  rule  that  forwards  such  mail to a Program Alias that
launches  IMAIL1  (the  IMail  ad  hoc  submission  app)  with a short
hard-coded message.
