sorry.

using mxguard/clamav/f-prot and love it. Best bang for the buck you can do. I'm sure Declude is good but the value is with MxGuard.

we're trusting spamcop and spamhaus.

Subject: Spam discussion...

Hello all...

I don't know if the rest of you are experiencing it, but the quantity of SPAM floating around lately seems to have gone up dramatically in the past few weeks.  Unfortunately, so is the amount getting through my filters.

I would like to get input/opinions from people on how they are configuring their IMail SPAM scanner, specifically:
- are you using third party products (e.g. mxGuard)?
- what are you checking off (and what are you avoiding checking off) in the 'Connection Filtering' option screen?
- the same question for 'Content Filtering (HTML)'
- are you finding the 'Updated SPAM' info we get from IMail actually helps?
- what are your 'favourite' DNS blacklists, and which ones do you 'trust'?

All thoughts appreciated...

Thanks,

TN

PS I use mxGuard, FProt AV,
- 'Connection Filtering' screen is blank with three trusted DNS blacklists (spamhaus, spamcop and ordb).
- 'Contect Filtering (HTML) has Image, Script, Invalid, Deceptive, Embedded with '3' as the option
