Hello,
We tried running MXguard and MessageSniffer on a smallish Windows
2000 server (866 Mhz - 256 RAM).
Message Sniffer really works well and we have now purchased a larger
server to handle the increased CPU/Memory overhead required. But,
MXguard no longer works so in-turn we can not run Message Sniffer.
The folks at MXguard seem too busy to address the issue other than
pointing us to a MS article referring to DEP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352
We've added mxgaurd and mxhook to the list of excluded programs from
DEP (Data Execution Prevention) but still no luck.
We are ow considering other programs that would call on Sniffer...
We have Declude AVS lite but that does not "call" other programs such
as sniffer. At this point it's either buy Declude Lite (non virus
version) or maybe eWall?
Anyone else run into this migrating to a windows 2003 server from win
2000? Which alternative has the lowest processing overhead since we
will be running some web sites and database software on this same
server?
