Hi Mike,
How can I get all of a users emails to show up in webmail, as well as
appear
on their desktop?
Leave a copy of mail on the server?
[.....]
Yes, that is correct.

A better option might be to use IMAP

I have had nothing but trouble with IMAP. Mailboxes disappearing, error
messages, headaches.
Funny, as we use IMAP a lot for people like me who have multiple places
where they want to read the mail. I have a mailbox of about 1,5GB in size,
distributed over a few dozen folders. We have several people with mailboxes
over 1GB in size.
I read my mail on my home computer, at two sites where I have a computer I
log on to a lot and on my laptop. Besides that, I read my mail via the
webinterfce ocasionally. The only IMAP problems I have seen in the past few
years are;
1) In Outlook Express there is a bug then when OE can not read the message
on the first try it wil never ever again try to read it from the server. It
will say the message is not on the server. Solution, have OE move the
message to another folder, it wil the read the mesage (which it refused to
read before) and put in the other folder, where it can then be read. If
needed the message can then be returned to the original folder.
2) After a while not changing folders when selecting a new folder OE Will
claim the server is unavailable and right after that, in the same second,
read the mail. If not, all one needs to do it then access another folder and
all is well. So people simply need to ignore that error.
3) I have yesterday had one instance of Outlook 2000 that claimed there were
only a few dozen mails in a mailbox when there were over 1200. That was
after we had some problems on the server with sustained 100% load caused by
a newsletter mailrun. After deleting the main.uid file on the server that
user could once agian access all 1200+ mails.
I'll try the "Leave a copy on server" option.
You can, but it is not nessecary.
Groetjes,
Bonno Bloksma
