Hi,

These are probably FAQ's, but I have scanned through the knowledgebase without
much luck, so hope that some of you here can help.

Starting with the DNS side of things, I have IMail setup with a number of
virtual domains and they all seem to work OK.

On one domain I have an MX record for domain.com and a CNAME for
mail.domain.com - IMail is configured with a host name of domain.com and alias
as mail.domain.com.

This all seems to be working fine.

I now want to start using mailing lists under a new host name of
lists.domain.com - is this possible?

Do I need a new MX record?

OK, now onto the mailing list queries:-

I note that we have to send messages to the alias imailsrv for subscribing,
un-subscribing members. I would like to change this to something more
recognisable/memorable like listserver, majordomo, requests, e.t.c. I have
created a duplicate of the imailsrv alias called listserver and can send
messages to it that get processed, but the messages that come back still say
from imailsrv - is there any other way of changing this?

I have seen that there are a lot of discussions about a perl script for
processing forms used for subscribing members to a mailing list, but it appears
that it doesn't yet work. I would like to do something similar using ASP - has
anyone else managed to achieve this yet? I would like to have the option to
set it so that the potential members have to either confirm or not confirm
their membership.

All help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
